Celebrates the nation’s birthday in style! Start early with a lake cruise as the sun sets over the Chicago skyline while you enjoy light appetizers (antipasto display of meats cheeses and breads, crudite, and a dessert bar) as well as a cash bar. Then remain on the lake for the best seat for a gigantic Independence fireworks display over Lake Michigan.

$60 all ages. Note: July 3rd sunset hors d'oeuvres cruise is SOLD OUT. July 4th tickets are still available. Boat departs from Navy Pier West dock at 8:00 pm for an approximately two-hour cruise. Please note that these cruises sell out quickly, so advance ticketing is strongly suggested.

Lake Fireworks Cruise — July 3, 2009

Chicago celebrates the nation’s birthday with a gigantic fireworks display over Lake Michigan the evening of July 3rd. Shoreline's remaining available boat for this special evening Chicago Fireworks Cruise is leaving from the East End of Navy Pier across from the Beer Garden. Please leave yourself 15 minutes to walk to this location and expect heavy traffic to get downtown if you are driving. Approximately one hour cruise on Lake Michigan with an amazing view of the City of Chicago firework display. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:00 pm. Check your ticket confirmation for departure details.

Lake Fireworks Cruise — July 4, 2009

TASTE OF CHICAGO

June 26-July 5, 2009

2009 will be the 29th year for Taste of Chicago, now the largest annual free-admission food and music festival in the United States. Over 70 restaurants present everything from hot dogs and hamburgers to gourmet treats. Taste also includes live music, cooking demonstrations, a wine garden and family area. During Taste of Chicago, Shoreline will run Skyline Boat Tours daily from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm from our Buckingham Fountain dock directly across from the Taste site in Grant Park.

Tickets are available at our booth at the taste of Chicago or our Navy Pier kiosks.

BASTILLE DAY FRENCH LUNCHEON CRUISE

Shoreline Sightseeing will offer a special Chicago River Luncheon Cruise in celebration of Bastille Day on Tuesday, July 14th. Passengers will enjoy a traditional French lunch plus a presentation by one of Shoreline’s professional and entertaining docents highlighting the role of the French community in the history, architecture and culture of Chicago. Here’s an advance peek at the classic French menu – Coq au vin, roasted red fingerling potatoes, haricort verts, French bread, salad maison, dark-chocolate mouse torte and fresh berry fruit torte! Bon Appetit!

VENETIAN NIGHT

Chicago’s Venetian Night celebration features a spectacular lighted boat parade, live music and the largest fireworks display of the summer. Special Shoreline Fireworks Cruises from Navy Pier let you enjoy this magical night (but, due to harbor traffic restrictions, the boat parade-of-sail is not visible from this cruise). Boat departs at 8:15 pm for the 9:30 pm Fireworks.
