SHORELINE SIGHTSEEING SCHEDULES ST. PARICK’S DAY CRUISE

Chicago, IL: Shoreline Sightseeing will offer a special St. Patrick’s Day Cruise on Saturday, March 17th from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, departing from Ogden Slip at Navy Pier. Enjoy cruising on the historic (and green!) Chicago River while enjoying a traditional Irish buffet featuring corned beef, cabbage and potatoes. Get your toes tapping to traditional Irish music and also enjoy a special presentation by one of Shoreline’s professional docents highlighting the role the Irish community played in shaping modern Chicago. Tickets are $29.00 for adults, $27.00 for seniors, and $15.00 for children 12 and under. Complimentary soda and coffee is included. A cash bar will also be available. Shoreline owner Chip Collopy noted that the St. Patrick’s Day is a great day for the Irish and all Chicagoans to celebrate. “I think everyone is a little bit Irish for St. Pat’s day,” said Collopy. “Our cruise should be a great way to keep the festivities going. Our docent will be doing a special program that will be historical as well as lots of fun for our passengers.”
Shoreline Sightseeing will begin their official 2007 season with weekend Architecture Cruises and Skyline Boat Tours beginning April 1. Now in its third generation of family ownership, Shoreline Sightseeing has been on Chicago’s waterways since 1939.
