OKTOBERFEST CRUISES ON TAP AT SHORELINE SIGHTSEEING
Chicago, IL: Repeating what has become a popular tradition, Shoreline Sightseeing will once again celebrate fall in Chicago with two Oktoberfest Lunch Cruises on Saturday, September 26th and on Saturday, October 3rd. Shoreline’s special 90-minute Chicago River Cruises depart from Ogden Slip at Navy Pier at 12:00 noon, returning at 1:30 pm. Cruises include traditional Oktoberfest lunch of brats with all the trimmings plus German background music and docent commentary on Chicago’s famous architecture as well as on the role the German community played in shaping modern Chicago.
“Chicagoans and visitors alike seem to really enjoy our fall Oktoberfest Cruises,“ said Shoreline co-owner Chip Collopy. “Everyone is familiar with the German Oktoberfest celebrations and their spirit of good times and good fellowship. Our cruises celebrate that spirit with a traditional German lunch plus our special docent-led cruise. “

Now celebrating their 70th birthday, Shoreline Sightseeing began with one speedboat giving Lake Michigan tours and has since grown to become Chicago’s largest boat touring company with nine major touring boats and ten water taxis. They offer Chicago River Architecture Cruises, Lake Michigan Skyline Boat Tours, Fireworks Cruises and a variety of themed cruises for holidays and special events as well as Water Taxis and private charters.
