SHORELINE SIGHTSEEING BASTILLE DAY LUNCH CRUISE SET FOR JULY 14
Classic French Menu Highlights Special Chicago River Cruise
Chicago, IL: Shoreline Sightseeing has scheduled a Chicago River Luncheon Cruise in celebration of Bastille Day, Tuesday, July 14th. The 90-minute cruise will depart Ogden Slip at Navy Pier at 12:00 noon, returning at 1:30 pm. Passengers will dine on a traditional French luncheon while enjoying French background music and a special presentation by one of Shoreline’s professional and entertaining docents highlighting the role played by the French community in the history, architecture and culture of Chicago.
Shoreline consulted Phil Stefani’s to create a Bastille Day luncheon menu featuring classic French dishes known their wonderful flavors and traditional French cooking techniques. The menu will feature Coq Au Vin, roasted red fingerling potations, haricots vert, French bread, salad maison, dark chocolate mouse torte and fresh berry fruit torte.
Shoreline owner Chip Collopy is looking forward to sampling the Bastille Day menu. “We wanted to toast French food and traditions in honor on their national holiday,” said Collopy, We’re also honoring the long history of the French community in Chicago beginning with the French traders and explorers who came to the area in the 1600’s.”
