A Special Way to Entertain
With a private Shoreline Charter, you can create a theme for your cocktail gathering that best suits your event. Shoreline offers a choice of two vessels as well as a variety of bar packages ranging from non-alcoholic with soda and fruit juices, to beer and your choice of wines, to full bar service with a variety of popular mixed drinks.
Our caterer can provide an array of delicious and beautifully presented hot and cold hors d’oeuvres. Choices range from simpler items including zesty bruschetta, cherry tomatoes stuffed with fresh mozzarella and basil pesto, and petite Brie tartlets to more elegant selections including smoked salmon, seared beef tenderloin with pesto crème on parmesan crisps and pistachio crusted lamb chops with plum hoisin sauce. Shoreline can also assist with flowers, photography and transportation for your guests.

Cocktail Parties
Casual or sophisticated—cocktail parties are a special way to entertain family, friends or business associates. A late afternoon cruise on Lake Michigan or the historic Chicago River showcases the city’s fabulous skyline and landmarks in the golden light of the setting sun.
For up to 70 Guests
For the smaller cocktail party, we suggest the four-season Celebration. Guests can mingle on the climate-controlled main deck as well as on the open bow and upper deck. There is ample room for seating arrangements, bar set ups and for either an appetizer buffet or passed hors d’oeuvres. Space would also be available for a jazz trio or small combo.
For 50 to 250 Guests
For larger cocktail events, we suggest one of our “Star” vessels: Evening Star or Bright Star. They are spacious, open air boats with two decks and flexible space for seated or more casual buffet or passed appetizer service as well as for live music or entertainment. Shoreline can also arrange for a professional docent to lead one of our famous Architecture Tours as part of your cruise.
